Today we took Jonathan to see his first movie in a theatre. It was a B movie. Oh wait, it was A Bee Movie. :)
He did really well. Sat through the entire movie with no antics. He only got antsy once, when he had to pee. Lisa told him to just go in his pull up. It was a cute movie too, so we all enjoyed it.
Here’s wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
Right now, it’s 10:30am. Jonathan’s having a nap and we’re waiting for the rest of Lisa’s family to arrive so that we can have breakfast before opening the gifts. Jonathan’s already got his loot from Santa. I think, however, that he was more excited to play with the Cars playset he opened last night at his Nana’s. It’s a Mac truck that opens to reveal three road surfaces that he can drive the cars on.
I’ve added some photos to the gallery. More coming later tonight or tomorrow.
Lisa was working, so I took Jonathan to the rehearsal at the church. He’s supposed to get up on stage tomorrow morning and perform as an ‘angel’. Well… I get called to his classroom and he’s beside himself. Shortly after getting his angel costum on, he became inconsolable. I took him for a walk and after he had calmed down tried to get him to join the group and get on stage. Two attempts later and we watched the rehearsal from the audience. Off the stage and without his costume, he was his regular sociable self. For some reason, he just did not want to go up on stage.
So we’ll see what happens tomorrow morning. He might suprise us, or he might just be the same.
Anyways, here’s a picture of Jonathan and I on a park bench in front of a nice Christmas Tree in the Church Lobby.
Well, I finally got the snowblower working! On one of the coldest days of the year so far, I was outside in the garage tinkering away with it, when it finally roared to life. All I really did was to change the fuel and spark plug and added some gas additive. I left the oil alone as it was looking fine.
A year ago when we moved in, I tried getting the thing going and couldn’t. Just our luck too as we had a huge dump of snow just after we moved in and no snowblower to help. We were going to take it in to have it serviced over the summer but never got around to getting that done. Thank goodness, actually. It probably would have cost us much more than it actually did. (Less than $20.00!)
So now I can say… let it snow, let it snow, let it snow….
Over the last week, we’ve had all sorts of renovations going on around here. Primarily, we’re getting our flooring installed, but we’ve also been doing some painting and a few other things at the same time. The laminate flooring in two bedrooms and the living room are now done. Today, the subfloor for the linoleum was installed and the linoleum will be laid down tomorrow. In the gallery, I’ve put a few pictures of what things look like.
